Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) – Antibiotic is now available without a prescription

Are you experiencing painful urination, increased urination frequency or urgency, or pain around the abdomen area? If you answer yes to any of the above, you might have a Urinary Tract Infection – commonly known as UTI.

In the past, pharmacies have only been allowed to sell urinary alkalinisers such as Ural sachets to help to relieve pain experienced from UTI and if the condition persisted or got worse, customers would need to go to the medical centre to get a prescription for an antibiotic.

At Sean Shivnan Pharmacy, we are pleased to inform you that our pharmacists are now accredited to sell the antibiotic for a UTI to women age 16-65 without going through your doctor. This will save you the hassle of making an appointment at the medical centre or finding a convenient time to see your doctor.

Your pharmacists at Sean Shivnan Pharmacy will provide a comprehensive consultation and counselling on treatment and lifestyle changes that you can make to prevent UTIs from happening again.

The antibiotic is only available as an in-store purchase. No appointment is necessary, feel free to come in any time between 8.30am to 6pm (Monday to Friday) and 9.00am to 1.00pm (Saturday).
